Fall 2023

Sexual Health Colloquium

Colloquium noun - a Latin derivative that refers to an academic seminar where scholars deliver a high level discussion.
The Sexual Health Colloquium is a virtual one-day event featuring three international researchers, Dr. Ateret Gewirtz-Meydan, Dr. Michal Lew-Starowicz, Dr. Sophie Bergeron, Dr. Shane Kraus, Sexual Health & Compulsivity journal editor, and last year’s Carnes Award Winner, Marilyn Murray. Sessions will focus on topics related to current research in the field. Sessions include research findings on sex therapy after childhood sexual abuse, psychiatry and sexual medicine, couples’ sexual health and problematic porn use.

We are also excited to welcome Marilyn Murray, who will be presenting on her 40 years of working with trauma and sexual dysfunction. Marilyn has been an icon in the trauma industry, and her session will not disappoint.
